OMRI Listed - Organic Materials Review Institute
Actagro’s Humic Acid 10% is the highest analysis of organic certified humic acids available. The humic acid content has been determined using the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s method, and has been “Listed” by the Organic Materials Review Institute, “OMRI”. Humic acids and Fulvic acids are two of the main components of stable soil humus. Humic acid is not a fertilizer, but instead a compliment to fertilizer. Humic acid essentially helps improve micronutrients uptake from the soil to the plant. In organic farming humic acids are applied as a plant growth stimulant and as a soil conditioner. Humates have a very high biological activity, improve plant metabolism and promote the development of root systems.

HUMIC ACID is an auxiliary soil and plant substance, which can be combined with other fertilizers or it can be applied directly to the soil.
HUMIC ACID is recommended for direct injection in the root zone area. For best results, application should be made early in the life cycle of the crop.
HUMIC ACID may be banded at preplant, at planting time or sidedressed as needed. It may be injected in irrigation systems. HUMIC ACID may also be applied as a foliar.
HUMIC ACID is compatible with most fertilizer solutions when adequate agitation is used during mixing. Do not use with products that contain high content of calcium. When mixing, dilute the HUMIC ACID with an equal volume of water. While agitating, inject the fertilizing product into the HUMIC ACID and water mixture.
HUMIC ACID is non-phytotoxic when used as directed.
HUMIC ACID disperses well in water with a minimum of agitation. It may be combined with most fertilizer solutions using adequate agitation during mixing. Dilutions with water may be made at any time.
1. Partially fill tank with water and start agitation.
2. Add HUMIC ACID slowly to the circulating mix, mix thoroughly.
3. While agitating, inject the fertilizer product into the Humic Acid and water mixture.
HUMIC ACID can be applied to all vegetable, cucurbit crops, row crops, deciduous fruit and nut trees, grapes, olives, citrus and ornamentals. Direct application of solutions may be made to drip, sprinkler or micro-sprinkler irrigation systems, or foliar applied by air or ground application equipment. May be applied through center pivot irrigation systems.
SOIL APPLICATION RATES
HUMIC ACID may be injected preplant into the root zone, drilled in bands where practical, or sprayed onto the soil and incorporated. To apply alone, dilute with water to insure uniform distribution.
VEGETABLES, CUCURBITS, FIELD AND ROW CROPS: Use 1/2 to 4 gallons per acre diluted with a minimum of 10 to 40 gallons of solution.
DECIDUOUS FRUIT AND NUT TREES, GRAPES, OLIVES AND CITRUS: Use 1/2 to 4 gallons per acre diluted with a minimum of 10 to 40 gallons of solution.
TRANSPLANT WATER-ALL CROPS: Use 1/2 to 1 gallon per acre diluted with a minimum of 500 gallons of solution.
ORNAMENTALS: Apply through a drip system or directly to the soil. Use 1 to 2 quarts diluted with 25 gallons of solution. Do not apply more than three times during the growing season.
TURF: Apply through drip or sprinkler system. Use 8 to 16 ounces per 1000 sq. feet, 3-4 times per season. Dilute in a minimum 5 gallons of solution.
FOLIAR APPLICATION RATES
HUMIC ACID can be applied to all vegetable crops, row crops, deciduous fruit and nut trees, grapes, olives, citrus and ornamentals. Apply ½ to 1 gallons per acre with the appropriate dilution for adequate coverage. A maximum concentration of 1:10 Humic Acid to water should be used for foliar applications.
