KWIK-START® contains Actagro Organic Acids® extracted from leonardite in a patented formulation. These organic acids are then combined with plant nutrients in a patented reaction process. The combination of these nutrients with Actagro Organic Acids® may aid in soil applied micronutrient availability.
KWIK-START® is an anti-crustant pop-up which is intended to reduce soil crusting and thereby enhance early root development and growth.
KWIK-START® is designed for use in all soil types. KWIK-START® is non-phytotoxic when used as directed and is compatible with many commonly used pesticides and fertilizers. KWIK-START® has a low salt index and can be applied directly over planted seeds after the press wheel. It should be concentrated for maximum response.
KWIK-START® should not be applied to crops that are likely to be stressed by high temperature or lack of moisture.
1. Partially fill tank with water and start agitation.
2. Add KWIK-START® to circulating tank mix.
3. Add pesticides or other nutrients.
4. Fill tank and agitate thoroughly.
KWIK-START® should be applied over the seed immediately after planting and prior to the first irrigation. Banded applications (1” to 4” bands per seed line) are recommended. Use higher water volumes for wider bands. Use single flat fan or angled double flat fan nozzles.
SOIL APPLICATION RATES
For broadcast applications apply 90 – 120 gallons of KWIK-START® per acre in a mix with clean water for a total spray volume of 300-400 gallons per acre.
For banded applications, the rate per acre of product and water should be reduced according to the following formula:
