A LIQUID MICRONUTRIENT
Manganese functions primarily as a part of enzyme systems in plants. It activates several important metabolic reactions and plays a direct role in photosynthesis. Manganese accelerates germination and maturity, while increasing the availability of phosphate and calcium. Deficiency symptoms first appear on the younger leaves with yellowing between the veins – and sometimes brownish-black specks. Deficiencies occur most often on high organic matter soils, and on those soils with neutral to alkaline pHs, Symptoms are most severe during cool spring months when soils are sometimes water logged.

ACTAGRO 4% MANGANESE is formulated in a patented process for the prevention or correction of manganese deficiencies in plants and can be effectively used for both foliar and soil applications. It contains Actagro Organic Acids® which may aid in soil and foliar applied micronutrient availability.
ACTAGRO 4% MANGANESE is recommended for foliar application as a dilute spray and should be applied early in the crops growth cycle for maximum utilization.
ACTAGRO 4% MANGANESE is recommended for band application during preplant, planting or sidedress operations.
ACTAGRO 4% MANGANESE is non-phytotoxic when used as directed and may be combined with most pesticides and fertilizers.
ACTAGRO 4% MANGANESE will be influenced by differences in varieties, soil and environmental conditions and should be applied under conditions of optimum plant growth. Optimum conditions are defined as adequate humidity, moderate temperatures and adequate soil moisture. Optimum conditions for most crops generally occur during early morning or late evening hours.
ACTAGRO 4% MANGANESE disperses well in water. For best results, mix as follows:
1. Partially fill tank with water or fertilizer and start agitation.
2. Add other nutrients or pesticides if compatible.
3. Add 4% MANGANESE to circulating tank mix.
4. Fill tank and agitate thoroughly.
SOIL APPLICATION RATES
VEGETABLES, CUCURBITS, FIELD AND ROW CROPS: Apply through a drip system or inject into the soil 3 to 6 inches deep either below or off to the side of the plant row. May be applied with preplant or sidedress fertilizers. Use 1 to 4 quarts per acre. May be applied through center pivot irrigation systems.
DECIDUOUS FRUIT AND NUT TREES, GRAPES, OLIVES AND CITRUS: Apply through a drip system or inject at the drip line 3 to 5 inches deep. Use 1 to 4 quarts per acre.
FOLIAR APPLICATION RATES
VEGETABLES, CUCURBITS, FIELD AND ROW CROPS: Apply 1 to 4 pints per acre in 15 to 25 gallons of water per acre as a directed foliar spray when plants are 8 to 12 inches in height. For aerial applications, use a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. May be applied through center pivot irrigation systems.
DECIDUOUS FRUIT AND NUT TREES, GRAPES, OLIVES AND CITRUS: Apply 1 to 4 pints per acre. Aerial applications use a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. Dilute or concentrate sprays use a minimum of 15 gallons of water per acre.
NOTE: For best results, use the lowest possible volume for thorough coverage and a small droplet size.
