A LIQUID MICRONUTRIENT
Zinc aids synthesis of plant growth substances and enzyme systems and is essential for promoting certain metabolic reactions. It is necessary for production of chlorophyll and carbohydrates. Symptoms first appear on the younger leaves and other plant parts. Deficiency in corn is called white bud, because new growth turns white or light yellow. Other symptoms include bronzing of rice, rosette of pecans, little leaf of fruit trees, and severe stunting of corn, sorghum, dry beans and soybeans. Zinc becomes less available as soil pH increases. High soil phosphate availability can increase the severity of zinc deficiency. Much of the soil’s available zinc is associated with the organic fraction and deficiencies may be associated with low soil organic matter.

ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC contains Actagro Organic Acids® that are combined with zinc in a patented process for the prevention or correction of zinc deficiencies in plants and may be effectively used for both foliar and soil applications. Actagro 6.5% Zinc contains Actagro Organic Acids® which may aid in soil and foliar applied micronutrient availability.
ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC can be used on all crops either as a foliar or as a soil application.
ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC is non-phototoxic when used as directed and may be combined with most pesticides and fertilizers.
ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC rates should be reduced when compared to most other zinc chelates and complexes.
ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC, when used as a foliar, should be applied under conditions of optimum plant growth. Optimum conditions for most crops generally occur during early morning or late evening hours.
ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC disperses well in water with a minimum of agitation. For best results, mix as follows:
1. Partially fill tank with water or fertilizer and start agitation.
2. Add other nutrients or pesticides if compatible.
3. Add ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC to circulating tank mix.
4. Fill tank and agitate thoroughly.
ACTAGRO 6.5% ZINC is recommended for foliar applications as a dilute spray solution and should be applied early in the crop's growth cycle for maximum utilization. In soil a band application is recommended during preplant, planting or sidedress operations.
Soil Application Rates
VEGETABLE, CUCURBITS, FIELD AND ROW CROPS: Apply through a drip system or inject into the soil 3 to 6 inches deep either below or off to the side of the seed placement area. May be applied with preplant or sidedress fertilizers. Use 1 to 4 quarts per acre.
DECIDUOUS FRUIT AND NUT TREES, GRAPES, OLIVES AND CITRUS: Apply through a drip system or inject at the drip line 3 to 5 inches deep. Use 1 to 4 quarts per acre.
Foliar Application Rates
VEGETABLE, CUCURBITS, FIELD AND ROW CROPS: Apply 1 to 3 quarts per acre in 15 to 25 gallons of water per acre as a directed foliar spray when plants are 8 to 12 inches in height. For aerial applications, use a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. May be applied through center pivot irrigation systems.
DECIDUOUS FRUIT AND NUT TREES, GRAPES, OLIVES AND CITRUS: Apply 1 to 4 quarts per acre. In aerial applications, use a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. In dilute or concentrated sprays, use a minimum of 15 gallons of water per acre.
NOTE: For best results use the lowest possible volume for thorough coverage and a small droplet size.
